This project was a no brainer.
As kids we would gather around the piano,
Candace played and I would sing with my Dad
all those lovely songs from the 70's.
One in particular Marie Osmond sang called
Paper Roses.
Aaahhhhhhh the memories.
Those moments with just us girls and our Dad
or when some of our brothers decided it was "okay" to sing with us
are the most tender of our childhood.
Plus, our Mom loves roses.
Not just any rose. They are pink, all pink and a very particular breed and color.
You could say she's a rose snob....but that's a good thing.
So as I lay in my deathbed bed this week with a ridiculous cold and my laptop
I found myself drawn to Martha's website and all the pretties there.
Besides we have a lot of coffee filters on hand from our previous projects.
So we decided to tackle them (it was easy enough with the sniffles)!
We used normal filters (not the cone type Martha says to get).
We used easy kid's watercolor paint and as you can see......
They actually turned out!
They are pretty big roses too!
Check out Martha's detailed instruction and video to make them!
