gold ornament wreath

Eddie Ross was having the ornament wreath challenge and had to give it a try. I  previously used wreath forms for my other ornament wreaths...but Eddie required that you use the true wire coat hanger method to enter the contest.
My mom liked my sister's wreath and hinted that she might want a gold one.  So this is what I came up with.

I used a chrome wire hanger to make this wreath.  I wired on (with ornament hangers) a third row, attaching it to the wire coat hanger.   I then used Epoxy to glue the first layer of ornaments! So cool..and so stable! I did glue gun on the next layers...because I was in a hurry!  I've had some disasters with the glue gunned ornaments.  Every time my doors slams shut, my four little boys bring me in handfuls of balls, They are not meant for outside..but I love it so much..that I just keep gluing them back on!

I voted in that contest but I must say yours looks even better than the one I voted for! The additional row of balls makes yours outstanding. Since your ornaments are breaking in cold weather, I wonder if the plastic ones might work better than glass ones... or visa versa.

I went to enter the contest...and I was too late!! Darn it! I sent it anyway and I got back an email response from Jaithan saying it was "beautiful!" That's better than winning! :)

I did use plastic ornaments, the problem is the glue from the glue gun. It doesn't hold up under cold temps! That's why I went with epoxy...messy and stinky..but it works! That' bottom of the wreath is SOLID!
