Silk Pearl Flower

Nicole found a beautiful white dress for her daughter's baptism, the only problem was that it had a tiny and sad looking flower at the waist.  We quickly solved the problem by finding a great diy flower tutorial on Pinterest.  The tutorial was made by Sunshowers and Rainshine at The Bride's Cafe.  Such a simple way to re-purpose a silk rose!  Go take a look for a great tutorial.
Nicole wanted to use some of the original flower from the dress to create the new flower,
so we took apart both and eventually added the snap back on to attach to the dress.
Nicole found the silk rose at Michaels for a couple of dollars.
We cut new leaves out of white organza to add some extra fluff.
Then we pinned the pieces together, and sewed pearls to the center.
Here's a picture of the original flower.
It was okay, but we like everything BIGGER!
I hope you agree that it looks much better?
Nicole's daughter will look so beautiful in her dress.

Thanks to Sunshowers and Rainshine and The Bride's Cafe for sharing such a great tutorial!

That does look better! What a great idea! The flowers that come on dresses are kind of sad sometimes, aren't they?!
