EGG Wreath #2~Ode To Cadbury

You know you did something good when you can't wait to hurry home and hang it up!
Oooooooohhhhhh ain't she pretty?
Above is the wreath on display outside my front door.

Today's Wreath is inspired by wicked little yummies that go straight to our hips!
Oh how we love those Cadbury Mini Eggs!
In our home they get hidden in all sorts of weird spots through out the house,
hoping to be stumbled upon on a rainy day during the rest of the year....
Well remember how Nicole loves all things pink and cutesy wootsie?

This wreath we did pretty similar to Candace's quail egg wreath.
We started with the same moss covered grapevine wreath. (18inches)
We spray painted.
We gooped on 2 coats of craft paint onto the plastic eggs.
We "freckled" the eggs.

(This was especially fun with the kids as I taunted them with threats of getting freckled!)
I love using a toothbrush for this and find it most effective to dab it into watered down paint
then using a butter knife (or whatever you have handy)
to tap it lightly to get your tiny "freckles" all over the eggs.
This baby took 68 eggs!
Not bad for a whole $1.92 from Hobby Lobby!

We randomly starting hot gluing them on.
Then we added some extra moss in between the eggs to fluff them up and give them that "nestled in" look.

Candace had the brilliant idea of "wrapping" the wreath with strands from a grapevine garland.
It creates a little different and fun effect!

Tip of the day: There's nothing a little spray paint can't fix!
Make sure to tune in tomorrow for Egg Wreath #3!
