Grandma brings our family Valentine's Socks every year.
This pattern caught my eye, and I wasn't about to model them for you....so here they are on baby.
I made these little felt stuffed heart ornaments using the pattern from the socks.
Everything always looks better hung on a tree, right?
A friend of mine brought by a felt heart ornament to use as a pattern to copy. She keeps her Christmas tree up for Valentine's Day and puts heart ornaments and decor all over it. I love it!
I scanned and blew up the socks on the computer, then copied the pattern. I used a mixture of felt and fleece.
I first sewed , stuffed, and then used the pinking shears to trim up to the edge.
Then I felted the smaller hearts, with the "neato" felting tool, onto the large heart.
Now, my sister...Nicole had planned to post this garland this past weekend. She said it didn't turn out and it was ugly.. whatever.
So.....I snuck into her house and took some pictures. It's so cute!
Nicole found the idea in Holiday Craft magazine (BHG).
The designer for the wreath and the garland is Betz White. She used old sweaters to make hers. They are so neat!
Nicole used good old felt, hot glue....and glitter glue. There's not as much hand sewing involved.
Nicole also crocheted the vine.

Nicole put this garland in her daughter's room, wrapping it around her window.
She made the fabulous stained glass too!
